"We help our clients develop the skills they need to navigate life themselves."
We are committed to growing our service by investing in and creating more opportunities within the service. These are specifically for the young adults progressing through our Independence Support services.

Our volunteering pathway is a growth opportunity which will aim to develop the same outcomes as a supported internship, however are not funded as a part of an education pathway and are not limited to those with an EHCP.

Each person will sign up to the pathway for a 6 - 12 month period - depending on the individual and the role. We support our volunteers with an allocated employee mentor and frequent supervisions with the leadership team. During supervisions we also explore personalised strategies around:

-
Understanding the workplace
-
Building workplace relationships
-
Maintaining employment
-
Healthy Work/Life Balance
-
Dealing with Challenges in the workplace
-
Managing work related stress
-
Applying skills and interests in the workplace
-
Working in a team and independently

The outcome we aim to achieve with every volunteer is to develop the confidence and skills to access paid work (part-time or full-time) by the end of a maximum 12 month period.
